Rip off!

Waste of money! Look and feel like an amature game. Worst game that I have paid for at app store.

Great for beginners. Needs levels for those who play a more advanced game.

Wasted $4! iPad version is marginally better. DO NOT BUY!! Slow and unresponsive...

I was glad to find "real" Mah Jong instead of the matching games. I play often. Win some, lose some. Every so often I wish I could make a different decision than the ones offered, but overall it is a lot of fun.

Would like to see my tiles all the time.

Thanks for fixing my major concerns (removed the comment section, gave me the option to pass on a tile, now I can always see my own hand). In addition, I love the different views. Now the tiles in my hand and the discard pile are large enough to see easily. From the original release, I like seeing the roll of the die and the wall being broken. I also like the board layout. Now to earn a five star rating, how about some music and choice of background? Oh, and something in the help section about how points are calculated (or at least what type of mahjong point system is being used) would be good.

Ive wanted to learn how to play for years. Local group is a 1 hour bus ride, each way, that wont get me home until midnight; not so nice in the snow/cold. Please add rules & tips so I can actually learn & join my local group (come nicer weather) & not feel like a total lamer.

Should be able to identify chows, pung and kong manually. Also often chows are missed. Without a fix the was not worth the price.

I have been waiting for a real Mahjong iPhone app for a long time. This game has it all: challenge, fun, ease of use and interest. My only suggestion is yo make it harder. I keep winning and im not THAT good. Thanks.

Not sure why so many people are dogging this game its not that bad, Im giving 5 just fir the fact that people are hurting this app, I digg it.

Having just gotten an Ipod I finally can take this game anywhere. Ive played on my computer for years, now I can take it with me!

took me awhile to figure put how everything worked but overall a good game :] Ive been waiting for this version of mahjong to come out!

very nice game, but some times, I have achieved a winning hand by self-dealing, but the game still asks me to deal. self achieved winning is the best part of the game, and getting high score, but the game ruined this best part. May Need update.

I thought it would be the real Mah Jongg game. I am very disappointed. The rules are not even very thorough for this version. I would not recommend buying it if you like to play real Mah Jongg.

Well now, I give this Four Winds Mah Jong program 4 1/2 Stars. With suggested enhancements, it will be 5. It really is superb for where it is used. I believe it was made for the iPhone but I took a chance and downloaded/playing on my new iPad. Its great. To my surprise, this game works well enough. History: I got acquainted with Mah Jong using the real game and the first Mah Jong game on the Mac OS 9 (Mah Jong Parlour) but not on OS 10. A game developer bought it to keep it off the market. The computer game is an excellent replication of the real game including voice. For OS 10, I have two games. One is an internet type that requires money to play so the only why to play it singularly is in the test mode. Bad news. The other is a Japanese version with the instructions in Japanese. I took the instructions/user guide to the internet for translation. No better than a hiccup. They introduced a number of things their real game has but still hard to work with. no fun. The enhancements I think would help are: Speed the game up or allow user to do so. Allow game to flip like other Apps do. This App/game is not the only one having this problem. Include voice to enhance perception of the game. Old users will not have a problem but new users will need help in understanding tiles and moves. The instructions are lacking completeness. There are many good instructions for Mah Jong on the internet. With good instructions, vocalizing them will certainly give this game a 5 star for the iPad. Note that this game will not be found in iTune Store under iPad Apps but in the iPhone.

This was a disappointment. The graphics are nice but I found the pace of the game to be slow, I seem to always win and there is absolutely no explanation on the scoring. There are better chinese mah jong games out there.

After downloading the game several years ago, I was so disappointed that I purchased this. Its NOT about the money that I spent on the game! This game does NOT deliver the Mah Jong that I expected. I took it off my iPhone over a year ago.

This app is for the iPhone, however I have it on the iPad & 2x it. Now it fits full screen. While its the 2nd best Mahjong app offered @ this time, it doesnt measure up to the iPad version with sound and ease of use & takes a game or two to get the hang of it. Now I cant lose. Great communications and concern by the developer/seller which is most important. Hope a real mahjong game is developed soon.
